Through the colors series 2019

This series of acrylic painting on canvas has for first inspiration the last paintings from Claude Monet of his garden in Giverny, his last paintings have always fascinated me about how he came closer than ever of the abstraction. I began with this idea and an approach to his color palette for to enter on this series and play on layers of different intensities using the lights and the shadows and the organic. The result looks far for my first idea, but on each canvas, there is elements who appear from the garden of Giverny. The combination of the colors is part of the play and they are also the expression of different feelings who constitute the works. This series represent also the delicate balance of the nature and our feelings in front of our industrial and capitalist society and all his deviance. Coats of paint also express than every situation are not so clear as we think cause it’s always an intermingling of various elements that we have to play with.
