Collages / Compositions series 2016

These collages are the result of an investigation into simplification of the abstract inside my artistic work. It is composed of cut papers and other materials found by chance. Sometimes they are subject to an intervention of Chinese ink. These abstract compositions of shapes and textures have a common reference, by the predominance of the line which marks a compartmentalization and a division of the space. These divisions allow a coexistence or a confrontation of different universes, which the composition unifies. These compositions are a microcosm, which refer to a concrete reality which reflects our living or working places where we experience the same division, the same compartmentalization and in another way the same juxtaposition of different universes. This work refers also to the collages of Kurt Schwiters and Jacques Villeglé.
